Harlem Heritage Tours – uncovering gems of Harlem Heritage from 1993.

During Holiday Season 2010, me and guests from Iowa were at Malcolm Shabazz Harlem Market when we came across a table with t-shirts reading 1993 – which immediately caught my eye.

I went over to the table and realized that they were the very last of the left overs from the actual Mayor David Dinkin’s Mayoral Campaign in 1993.

I mentioned to my guests how historic these left over t-shirts were and almost immediately a frenzy happened. The battery went dead on my cell before I could capture the entire scene.

The women in the video is a local resident, who came over a few minutes after we arrived. Some t-shirts had defects, but most were well preserved in the box since 1993.

Harlem Heritage Tours purchased the entire box after others made their selections.
