Malcolm X Blvd. is the northern extension of 6th Ave. above Central Park starting at 110th Street. This to me is the grand urban gem of NYC stretching nearly 50 city blocks through the core of Harlem with historic building, restaurants, churches/mosque’s + more running parallel on both sides – the perfect venue from which to tell the story of old and new Harlem.
Walk with a born and raised lifelong Harlem resident who will explain the full history of Malcolm X Blvd., accompanied with audio and pics that will be presented at applicable stops. You can Stomp as you listen to Ella at the site of the old Savoy Ballroom, stand in the foot print of Malcolm X, on the Blvd., that bears his name as you listen to one of his speeches delivered by him on the same spot + more.
We will also take much time to showcase many of the new businesses on the strip as well as stop and shop.
