Currently sitting here reading “Franco the Great, Born to Live”: The True Story of The Man Who Made Harlem Beautiful”, what an interesting life story, it’s always a pleasure to meet Franco on the streets of Harlem, but I never knew he was of Panamanian background until reading the beginning chapters of his book.  Franco tells the story of how he started painting the grey steel storefront gates along 125th Street in Harlem…one of many great stories in the book, stay tuned….
