Students with us from the United Kingdom, all have studied the American Civil Rights Movement in their classroom they walk in the shadows of history. On April 4th, 1967 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his historic Beyond Vietnam speech from Harlem’s Riverside Church. Dr. King denounced America’s participation in the war, some say this speech contributed to the atmosphere that lead to his death one year later on April 4th, 1968.
Riverside Church can be seen in the picture center sky above the students.
