On the Shoulders of Giants, produced by Kareem abdul Jabbar tells the story of pioneering basketball players who played during a time preceding the NBA and ABA when Black were considered to be inferior athletes. Harlem players like Pop Gates and the legendary Johnny Issacs were true ambassadors of the game paving the way for the Micheal Jordans of the world.
